Welcome Moms!
This year we have a lot of exciting things to offer, here’s a brief run down.
Moms Group Blog
To make communication more effective we have created a blog. The blog will be updated weekly, so please check it to stay informed. There is also a calendar listing speakers, food rotation, set-up/clean-up schedule and get-togethers. You can also leave comments and post prayer requests.
Facebook Page
Moms Group has a Facebook page. Search Moms on a Mission on Facebook to locate our group page.
Food Rotation
Each table will be assigned specific dates to bring food. Please refer to the blog’s calendar for your table’s date. Table leaders will be responsible for ensuring their table brings enough food on their assigned date.
Coupons
Please bring extra coupons, especially diaper and formula coupons, to share with others. We will have a coupon folder at the welcome table where everyone can help themselves. If you get samples of baby formula in the mail that you do not use, please feel free to bring those too.
Baby Showers
We will have two large baby showers. A shower in the fall for the moms who have recently had a baby or are due before Christmas and a shower in the spring.
Kid Kare
Child care is available in the Infant Toddler Center (ITC) for children 6 weeks to 9 years. The cost is $3.00 an hour. $30 punch cards can be purchased in the ITC by cash or check. To register visit Hosanna’s website.
If you’re looking for a fun playdate for your little ones or you love holding babies, consider volunteering in the ITC. When you volunteer your children can be in the ITC with you for free and you will receive a voucher for your next Kid Kare session. You can volunteer on Wednesdays or Thursdays from 9:15 – 11:45 a.m. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Pam McDonald at littlems.sonshine@gmail.com. If volunteering is not possible for you and Kid Kare is a hardship, scholarships are available, please contact Christine Engman at christinee@hosannalc.org.
Meals for New Moms
Everyone knows how demanding it can be to care for a newborn. You’re lucky if you get a chance to take a shower or brush your teeth! To help out, we will pass around a sign-up sheet for anyone who is interested in taking a meal to the new mom.
Set Up/Clean Up Schedule
Each table will be assigned a date to set up the room and clean up after the bible study. Table members should arrive at 9:00 a.m. and can plan to finish cleaning up by 11:45 a.m.
Prayer Requests
Would you like more of the moms in the group to pray for you? If so, you have 3 choices.
1. Fill out a prayer request form and place it in the basket on the Welcome Table. The prayer requests will be emailed to all the members in the Moms Group.
2. Email Lindsy Bednar at ljbednar@gmail.com. Lindsy will email your prayer request to all the members in Moms Group. If you would like the request to be anonymous, please indicate that in your email.
3. Submit your prayer request by clicking the Prayer Request link on the Moms Group’s blog main page. You can choose to post anonymously.
Get-Togethers
Do you have an idea for a fun play date or moms only get-together? If so, please email Dawn Holthusen at dgholthusen@hotmail.com.

Would you like to be more involved in Moms Group? The Planning Team is always looking to grow. If you are interested, please contact either of the co-coordinators.
