HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year MOMS!!!!
Wishing you a great start to a NEW YEAR.......
I was thinking about TODAY as each of my children woke up and came downstairs and I told them, "Today is a NEW YEAR, 2011 is gone and now we start 2012!!!" I thought, wow!!! If we could wake up each day and think like that!!! TODAY IS A NEW DAY!!!!! Let yesterday go and start this new day that God has blessed us with. Start each day asking ourselves "What can I change today to make today a better day?". Whether it be more patience, more time with our family, more prayer time, more time to reflect, more intentional things that will make a difference in our day!!!!

This year, I want to focus on being more intentional...What will you focus on???
Looking forward to seeing you all on the 12th!!!

Week 7 Recap

I just have to say that we have really been blessed with some amazing women speaking to us! Yesterday on my way home, my intention before Moms Group was to work, but instead I called my husband and said, “I am going to go home, change and go for a run”. It felt so good to free myself of everything and do that. I think I have become my mom, the one that always said she was going to start exercising, but never did it! So, I decide yesterday after listening to Pam to do it!

I am excited about the a few other things she mentioned. The book she mentioned is called Made to Crave. The group that comes together to pray for their children is called Moms In Touch.

I loved the quote “If Satin won’t make you bad he will make you busy”.

AND THE BEST ONE: ”I would have to take something off my plate to be able to do that” when learning to say NO when you know you are overcommitted.

I went to Target and bought my TRUTHS spiral bound notebook and I am going to start filling it up.

I know that a lot of you have asked if you can purchase the study to share with a friend so I wanted to let you know that you can go to www.kristiekerr.com and place your orders there.

Next week, we will be celebrating all the little ones that have been born since last June. Can you believe all those cute babies we have in our group? We had mentioned that the moms could go up front and share, but we wouldn’t want anyone to be uncomfortable so we will do something a little different. I know I have a hard time being upfront myself!

I am amazed by our group of women and I thank you all so much for your patience and cooperation while Jackie and Pam were working things out with Kid Kare. GOD IS GOOD! He knows that each and every one of us has a desire to be in this group to be filled up, to be the best moms, wives, friends, and sisters that we can be so thank you for PATIENCE.

I just wanted to share something that I think you might all enjoy in some way. My friend, who some of you might know, just published a book and it just arrived at my door yesterday. It is called Overcoming the NEVERS by Teri Johnson It is wonderful. I will finish it today because it is hard to put down. If you are interested to learn more about it you can click here OR you can order it from Amazon by clicking here .

We are who we are because of all the NEVERS in our lives, but sometimes we don’t know even know what type of effects they have on us or if we have really dealt with them. I know that I have things I NEVER thought would happen in my life that I thought I dealt with, but HAVE I? I will also bring my copy to moms group next week for you to take a peek.

Last year I enjoyed doing a little recap and connecting with the group each week, because our group is so large we decided we would use the blog to communicate so that our inboxes weren’t bombarded.

Please feel free to make comments and leave post at this site. It is here for you to share and let us know what you think about the group.

Last but not least, if any of our new moms feel overwhelmed with bringing a meal or getting there early to set up, please don’t let that deter you from coming. There are a few of us that come early and stay late. We would much rather you be with us then to feel overwhelmed. Just let us know.

Blessings to each and every one of you!
